Dragon Head Brooch

Dragons were worn in ancient times as talismans believed to harness the positive forces of the four elements.

Though modern looking this is a detail from an eighth century AD Irish cloak fastener.  It's an example of the Celtic work created for the Roman army as souvenirs to take home when a tour of duty was complete.

This elegant dragon is a good choice for any Celt who believes in tradition but has a more contemporary sensibility.

Matching earrings are also available in post or hook styles.  Gift boxed with a history
