Spiral Bone Brooch / Necklace

Triskele or triple spirals are the Celtic symbols for the three stages of woman which are; maid, mother and wise woman.  You can see four deeply carved into this unusual design.

Our bone shaped brooch is replicated from a first century hanging bowl attachment from Derbyshire, England.  It is an example of Irish work brought to England through trade.

The original is one of three like pieces who's purpose was to carry  rings that held a bronze bowl aloft.

You can put it to better use as a dramatic brooch or have us fit it with a sterling chain to be worn as an 18 inch necklace.

Size 2 3/4" x 1 1/2".

Hand cast in sterling silver or bronze. Gift boxed with a history
